Bunbury Bypass

Kangaroos in the Wildlife Park
After a restless night I was rested enough to take on the day ahead.  We left early and headed for Bunbury north of Busselton.  Mel had an appointment with Weight Watchers and we were excited to find she has lost 1.3kg (yes even on holiday).  Our next stop was to the Dolphin Discovery Centre with the help of Google Maps.  Even when I went the wrong way the nice lady soon had me back on track!  There were no sightings of dolphins today but we took time out to view the aquariums  and enjoyed  the ocean view.  For lunch we dined at a delightful café overlooking the Indian Ocean.  We had arranged to meet up with my friend with whom I will be holidaying in October.  This was the first time she had met Merv and Mel.  We shared a happy lunch of delightful food and conversation.  Our final stop in Bunbury was the wildlife park.  It was very small.  I find it is always pleasant to view animals but the park could do with an upgrade.  We enjoyed a pleasant drive back to Busselton taking the scenic route.  After a cuppa we took the wheelchair and enjoyed a walk along the foreshore.  There were families cycling and playing.  We will take home pleasant memories of our stay.
