Sprucing Up

All our ongoing holidays have resulted in my garden turning into an unruly overgrown jungle.  I have eyed the work that needs doing and grumbled I didn't have time to trim and snip!  This morning while the air was still cool I jumped at a small window of time.  I snipped, I snapped, I pulled weeds and dead headed the flowers.  I stood back and admired my work.  Not bad in thirty minutes!

Merv had already watered his pot plants. He sat watching me snipping and snapping, listening to the water tinkling from the water fountain. 
We celebrated our small window of time with a coffee and a book to read.
Then it's back to everyday Monday chores and embracing the week ahead.
